Wife Of Cd’A Council Candidate “Disgusted & Appalled” At Vicious Attacks On Husband

(Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) — As the race for Coeur d’Alene City Council enters the final stretch, liberal city council incumbents have ramped up their attacks against the conservative candidates for office, with their most vicious Ads being directed at Clark Albritton.

Dan Gookin, the incumbent city councilor was recently sued for defamation by the local Republican Party after falsely accusing the committee of money laundering, bribery, election fraud and campaign finance violations. He also angrily accused a room full of elderly women of supporting “white supremacy” and took out an ad in the local paper against Albritton.

The advertisement was Albritton’s mugshot with a QR code and plain text stating “My opponent has been rated and vetted.”

The QR Code took users to a page that accuses both Albritton and the KCRCC of attempting to “cover up” Albritton’s run in with the law for “domestic battery” around 20 years ago in 2003.

However, this claim is false. According to the KCRCC’s website, Albritton disclosed all of this up-front in his candidate questionnaire.

Now Albritton’s wife Joanna is speaking out about the negative attacks.

In a statement released to the press earlier today, Clark’s wife Joanna said:

“I am disgusted and appalled at the loathsome negative attacks launched by Clark's opponent in the Coeur d'Alene city council race. We have been married over 31 years and early in our marriage, during a particularly stressful time, we had a heated argument which has never been repeated. Clark is a wonderful, kindhearted loving husband and father and has been throughout our 31 years of marriage. I encouraged my husband to run for the city council seat because he will bring back the kindness, respect and empathy that we so obviously need.”

In addition to these attacks against Albritton, the current City Councilors seeking re-election have viciously attacked and disrupted the Trustees at North Idaho College, called concerned citizens “white supremacists,” and voted to force masks on you and your kids while quietly getting rid of prayer in public.

We all make mistakes, and nobody should be judged by the lowest moment in their life, as if that instant in time is representative of the totality of that individual. Everyone deserves better than that.

Listen to Clark for yourself, check the Republican Voter Guide, the Democrat Voter Guide, and make up your own mind.

Early voting has already begun in Kootenai County. You can vote during regular business hours M-F at the Elections office in Coeur d’Alene at:
