Dial 1 For Democracy: Idaho Governor Brad Little Turns Legislative Session Into A Mockery — Bills Protecting Children Held Hostage
Elections Have Consequences (For Some)
The 2023 legislative session has almost come to a close, and legislators have sent hundreds of bills to Idaho Governor Brad Little to sign into law.
Not all of these bills will be signed into law. Some of them will get vetoed, and sometimes the legislature will override the governor’s veto. That’s how this process works. Check and balances. We all get it.
What many Idahoans are struggling to understand is why our “REPUBLICAN” Governor has decided to start “polling” Idahoans about whether or not he should Sign or Veto a bill that would protect children from having their genitals permanently mutilated.
.@GovernorLittle has not yet signed HB71, a bill that will protect children from life-altering permanent genital mutilation and sterilization.
Instead of sticking with the @IdahoGOP Platform and signing it, he’s trying to find a way to veto it. 208-334-2100 pic.twitter.com/0Nz2R0fOwy

The Bill that Governor Little is dangling over the heads of concerned Idahoans, The Vulnerable Child Protection Act (HB 71) would prevent hospitals from performing so called “gender-affirming care” to minors.
“Why do we have to keep doing this?” One resident who wished to remain anonymous lamented to the Idaho Tribune on Monday. “We already voted! We keep going to the polls every 2 years, and we have been electing more, and more conservative representatives. You know what we want, Brad. You’re just afraid of retribution from IACI, Micron and St. Luke’s.”
Although many Idahoans aren’t aware of this, St. Lukes Hospital in Boise does in fact offer “gender-affirming care” to minors.
This is the kind of crap that Idahoans are sick of. We are sick of having leaders who have created a tyranny of the minority here in Idaho.
Other bills that Governor Little has not yet signed into law include:
HB 314 – Jaron Crane’s School and Library Protection Act
HB 242 – Anti-Human Trafficking Bill That Prevents Illegally Crossing State Lines To Murder A Pre-Born Child
HB 173 – Amends existing law to provide that a foreign government or foreign state-controlled enterprise shall not purchase, acquire, or hold any interest in certain types of property in Idaho.
Antifa and far Left-Wing extremists are taking this opportunity to pressure the Governor:
I'm not saying you have to call or email ([208) 334-2100 or governor@gov.idaho.gov], but I always support turning up the heat when politicians attack our freedoms https://t.co/UUFpUkXvVc

Today is a good time to call the governor and ask him to veto HB 314! It will take less than two minutes of your time. All you need to do is call 208-334-2100 and leave a message. pic.twitter.com/wD76t7J0QM

Do the right thing Brad. Everyone’s waiting.
I want everyone to know what genital mutilation surgery actually looks like for the same reasons I want everyone to know what abortion looks like.
Those who embrace it, so they KNOW what they're promoting, those who abhor it so that they can fully explain why.
