Voter Turnout, NOT Slander, Behind Kootenai County Library Victory — Parents Voted En Masse For KCRCC Candidates To Protect Children From Harmful Materials In Their Library

The Numbers Don’t Lie. When Conservatives Show Up, Conservatives Win.

(Kootenai County, Idaho) — Conservatives won big last night striking a blow at the heart of the wealthy oligarchy that has had almost total control over local politics in the Coeur d’Alene for the past 30 years, and the Establishment Media Complex is BIG mad.

Conservative KCRCC recommended candidates Tim Plass and Tom Hanley ousted Judy Meyer, a multi-millionaire who previously served on the State Board of Education, as well as the North Idaho College Board of Trustees, and her running mate Regina McCrea, a local personal injury lawyer. And they did it on a shoestring budget.

Plass and Hanley decided to run for library board after finding out that inappropriate materials were available to minors in our local libraries. Books that teach children “how to masturbate” and “how to give a blowjob.”

Books that describe, in graphic disgusting detail, the incest rape of a child like Ellen Hopkins Book Identical.

The evidence that these books are in fact not only in our local libraries, but in areas accessible to minors is a fact. It wasn’t propaganda. It wasn’t a gimmick. Trustee-Elect Plass even brought a stack of these books to a recent debate.

What happened following their victory late Tuesday evening? Well, the Coeur d’Alene Press, the Idaho Statesman, and the Daily Beast all ran calumnious, disparaging, scurrilous, and untrue articles about their victory.

The far-left extremist outlet The Daily Beast attributed Hanley and Plass’ victory to a “slanderous campaign” and “fear-mongering.”

The Statesman’s article was similar saying “Hanley built his campaign on a lie.”

Idaho Statesman Article

The articles completely disregarded the fact that CLN board chair Katie Blank admitted that there is “truth” in the claims that the library has made inappropriate materials available to minors in the Community Library Network.

Even Regina McCrea during a January meeting, admitted that the book Identical was available in the “Adolescent Fiction” section of the library.

The media went all out. They printed article, after article about how Tim & Tom were “liars” and “extremists” even though the Idaho Tribune and groups like Clean Books 4 Kids have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that this was all taking place at our local libraries.

The incumbents, and aligned PACs like the fake “North Idaho Republican” PAC raised well over $200,000 as of about 1 month ago. By the time all the financial reports are out, we expect that they will have raised and spent well over a quarter of a million dollars.

During the exact same time period, Tim Plass and Tom Hanley raised a measley $12,000.

So, we know it wasn’t “slander.” And it certainly wasn’t video ads or mailers that won the election for Tim & Tom.

The answer is really much more simple: VOTER TURNOUT.

Kootenai County had a record smashing 42.9% voter turnout for the May 2023 election.

Compare that with the measley 16.6% voter turnout in Ada County.

Only 727 people showed up to vote in the Madison County Election.

Similar trends happened in Bonner

and Boundary County.

So what was their secret?

It wasn’t money. It wasn’t slick ads that defamed the competeition.

It was the TRUTH. And, the TRUTH drove voters to the polls in higher numbers than ever before.

And, when Kootenai County goes to the polls, CONSERVATIVES WIN!

Representatives from the Plass and Hanley campaigns told Tribune reporters that they had spoken with their opponents, wished them well and thanked them for their years of community service.
