Community Library Network Board Chair Admits There Is “Truth” In Allegations That Library Has Made Sexually Explicit Materials Available To Minors

In Other News, Water Is Wet.

As the battle for our local libraries continues to heat up, the Fake News CDA Press, and librarians all over the state have begun stepping up their game to smear conservatives and keep pornography in the hands of children.

Last week, a left-wing group called “Democrats And Republicans Together” put together a town hall featuring Community Library Network (CLN) Chairwoman Katie Blank, former CLN trustee Bob Fish, and the director of the Meridian Public Library Nick Grove.

At the meeting, Blank and Grove spent well over an hour, ginning up a straw-man to knock down, telling attendees that the complaints about books in the libraries are simply bigoted attacks on minorities and LGBTQIA+ people. In fact that was the entire premise of the Press’ hit-piece published the following day, saying that there is a “coordinated attack on our libraries.”

This isn’t a mistake, or a simple oversight. It’s a deliberate mis-characterization of the battle that has been taking place in our local libraries for over 2 years now.

What the Press strategically failed to mention about the recent DART Town Hall is Chairwoman Blank’s stunning admission that there is “truth” in the complaints that parents have lodged against books in our local libraries.

This, coming several months after Library trustee Regina McCrea also admitted that there is pornography in the adolescent section of the library.

Even the so-called “Secret Society of Library Friends” have admitted that there is porn in these books, but don’t worry, it’s only 3% of the book! Your 12 year old totally won’t be scarred by reading about hardcore rape.

Here’s a question for you: If a librarian offered you a glass of champagne, would you drink it?

Would you still drink it if you found out that 3% of the drink was actually cyanide?

I didn’t think so.

Speaking of those “secret librarian friends”…They’re here in North Idaho. Photographs sent to the Tribune show the groups’ stickers on the desk of a librarian at the Athol Library, where the most recent CLN board meeting took place.

Something needs to be done to prevent the corruption of our children, and the only candidates that have committed to doing something about the Community Library Network’s kiddie porn problem are Tim Plass, and Tom Hanley.

They are both Republicans, they’re recommended by the Kootenai County Central Committee, and they are the only ones that seem to be taking this issue seriously, unlike the current trustees who have allowed these books to get into the library in the first place.

In 2021, the CDA Press published an article about the Community Library Network’s book selection policy saying that the Community Library Network uses “standards set by the American Library Association,” and assured readers that “Pornography is not allowed in public libraries.” We now know this was a lie.

That article also stated that the Community Library Network “expects families to be responsible for what material choices a child makes at their locations.” So, what you have here is a situation where parents were lulled into a false sense of safety because the libraries with the help of the press repeatedly denied that they had pornographic materials that were accessible to children, and now that they have been caught, they’re blaming the parents.

You can’t protect your kids from threats that you are unaware of. It’s untenable. There has been absolutely no “informed consent.” Nobody was warning parents about the dangerous materials in the Young Adult section until Clean Books 4 Kids came around.

So instead of engaging in victim blaming, lets put the blame where it belongs; CLN Trustees Judy Meyer and Regina McCrea.

Meyer, who is a committed globalist with deep pockets, has served on the board for over 30 years, and been involved in some shady real estate and urban renewal deals to boot. McCrea has been on the board since 2016, and isn’t any better.

Neither of them have done anything to prevent these disgusting materials from being added to the CLN Collection. Both of them have denied that these materials exist. Both of them are complicit in putting sexually explicit materials into the hands of our youth.

Both of them could have stopped this from happening by implementing good policies, ensuring the books coming into our libraries weren’t materials that are used by pedophiles to groom children, but that ship has sailed.

Even the Boise Public Library was able to do the right thing and start cleaning out the filth from their shelves.

Since Governor Little vetoed a bill that would have removed the exemption in Idaho law that allows librarians to give kids pornography consequence-free, our only hope to protect our children from this filth lies in the hands of Tim Plass, and Tom Hanley.

God help them, they’re fighting against the devil.
