DESPICABLE: Library Trustees File Lawsuit Against Disabled Mom Who Serves As Republican Precinct Captain In Last-Ditch Effort To Win Election

“M&M” Have Stooped To New Lows NEVER Before Seen In Local Politics

(Kootenai County, Idaho) — Community Library Network incumbents Regina McCrea and Judy Meyer (“M&M”) have stooped to new lows in their campaign to retain power here in our county. For the past two years, a grassroots conservative group called Clean Books 4 Kids has systematically exposed the disgusting, pornographic, filthy books that depict not only child incest porn, but that also teach children “how to masturbate” and “how to give a blowjob.”

After suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of their challengers, Tim Plass and Tom Hanley, during a debate hosted by the League of Women Voters last week, it seems as though “M&M” have taken a different route in the home stretch of their dishonest campaign for library trustee.

An example of M&M’s dishonest campaign material.

They appear to have shifted tactics; from falsely labelling their opposition as “explosive political extremists,” to now attacking a disabled mom who serves as a precinct committeewoman on the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee.

Who is Janice Camarena?

Janice Camarena has lived a hard life. She didn’t come from a wealthy family, in fact she grew up in foster care. Before moving to Kootenai County in July 2017, she and her family used to live in Lake Arrowhead, California. In 2000 she was diagnosed with Fahrs disease, a rare genetic terminal brain disease that causes calcium to grow through her brain and throughout her body. She told the Tribune that she just had her “13th surgery - a spinal fusion 3 months ago…” She is currently on disability.

Janice’s daughter Ashley married her high school sweetheart, a young patriotic man named Jeremy Armstrong. They had 3 beautiful children together.

Jeremy’s mom wasn’t in the picture, so Janice took him in as if he was her own flesh and blood. He joined the Army in 2007 to fight to protect the freedoms and liberty that God has blessed our nation with. He was deployed to Afghanistan during the height of the “War on Terror” and was injured by an IED during his tour of duty. In a CDA Press article, Janice told Jeremy’s heartbreaking story:

“When my son came home injured, we sat and watched as our commander-in-chief did little to advance the war on terrorism. The very fight that he sent my son and others to sacrifice everything for. We had to fight with a VA system daily to get my son the medical care that he needed … DAILY!”

“We sat and watched as my son waited three years for his Purple Heart to come in. When it finally did come through, it was sent to him in a brown box to our post office. Sadly, I have learned that many of our injured soldiers have received their Purple Hearts through the mail. What kind of country sends their wounded warriors their Purple Hearts in the mail? I have seen first-hand the way we treat our injured warriors when they come home and it is nothing short of disgraceful. I’m sad that my son was injured. I’m heartbroken and completely devastated that my son died and I am lost trying to figure out why a country that I love, that I call mine, would treat my son, who gave everything, so disgracefully. It was like a slap in the face to us all.”

Janice, in tears, told the Idaho Tribune that she picked up her family and moved to Idaho to get away from California, because “we wanted to find a place that loved its veterans. We didn’t have anything. After he died, we just threw everything in a truck and we told the moving company ‘Just start heading to Idaho.’ We didn’t have a house to move to, the first year we were just trying to survive.”

Jeremy was buried at the Veterans’ Cemetery in Medical Lake in July of 2017.

Jeremy left behind two little girls, 11 and 8, and a 3-year-old little boy. These children lost their dad, who meant the world to them. To them he was not a soldier; he was their daddy. He was the one who tucked them in at night and read them bedtime stories. They miss him dearly. The older two have had to deal with the anger like the rest of our family because they were old enough to see the way their dad was treated before he died.

As if things couldn’t get any harder for Janice, in 2020 she was shocked and angry when she found out that her oldest granddaughter, then a student at Northwest Expedition Academy, was being counseled by a school employee to “transition” from being a girl to being a boy.

The case sparked outrage throughout not only Kootenai County, but nationwide, as the counselor continued to message Janices young granddaughter, giving her unsolicited “advice” without the consent of her mom, Ashley, or from Janice, her grandmother.

Janice, didn’t have the means to launch her own lawsuit against the school for their counselor’s egregious behavior. Instead, she decided to get involved locally, to protect her grand children, and all the children of Kootenai County from this agenda of sexualization. She ran for a seat on the KCRCC in 2022 and won, and now serves as the chairwoman of Precinct 404.

Now, in an effort to retain their power, Judy Meyer and Regina McCrea have decided to pick on this poor, disabled helpless grandmother, in an effort to persecute her, stifle dissent, and instill fear in the community because God knows who they will sue next.

LAWFARE

The suit claims that a campaign letter sent by precinct committeewomen Janice Camarena, Anita Dupzyk and Marjorie Desgrosseilliers to their constituents is “defamatory,” however this is going to be a tough allegation to prove. The trustees were not specifically named in the letter, and because they are elected officials, or “public figures” they will have to prove in court that Camarena and the other PC’s acted with malice, intentionally publishing things that they knew were false.

This is actually, quite a hard standard to prove, especially because the truth is that the library does have sexually explicit books, that were found and checked out from the 12-16 year old section, that teach children how to commit sexual acts.

The book Deal With It! is just one of many such examples.

The letter, which the CDA Press re-published in full says:

“Many of the good people in our community have been SHOCKED to learn that sexually explicit books are on display in the CHILDREN'S section of our libraries. These books are so explicit that if you were to give them to a child you would be committing a crime. Under Idaho law it is illegal to give sexually explicit material to a minor EXCEPT if you are a librarian. Legislation to close this porn loophole was passed by the legislature but vetoed by the Governor.

If you want to protect the innocence of our children by having sexually explicit materials moved from the children's section to the adult section of our libraries then it is vital that you vote on May 16th. The two incumbents have knowingly allowed graphic books with text and pictures describing every imaginable sex act to be purchased and displayed to children. The KCRCC's two recommended candidates, Tim Plass and Tom Hanley, have pledged to protect our children. Our libraries should be safe spaces not centers of sexual indoctrination.

The Idaho Tribune was provided with a copy of the correspondance between Camarena and McCrea prior to the lawsuit’s filing.

On May 3rd, McCrea wrote to Camarena saying:

Camarena responded asking for clarification as to which facts in the letter were untrue.

We are unaware of any additional correspondence. It seems as though the lawsuit is McCrea’s response.

POWER AND PRIVILEGE

Far from living a difficult life, Judy Meyer, a current CLN trustee and one of the plaintiff’s in the suit is one of the most POWERFUL women in the county. She was appointed by the Governor in 1998 to serve as the President of the Idaho State Board of Education, and she has previously served a trustee at NIC, in addition to her 30 years on the board of the Community Library Network. Judy and her husband Stephen are one of the wealthiest, most powerful families in Kootenai County, and they are now lashing out because they are afraid they will lose their power.

Unlike Meyer, most of the people involved with the KCRCC don’t come from a background of “Power and Privilege.” All of them, in fact, are regular folks like YOU. People who are trying to make a difference in our county, our state and our country. They are standing up and fighting for what is right, not to retain their own power, or wealth, or control.

PC’s like Janice, have nothing left to lose. She has watched her son shed his blood for his country, and received nothing but thankless indifference. She has seen her child get indoctrinated and manipulated in our broken education system. She is losing her health to a terminal illness.

There is nothing left that these despicable people can take from her. Instead, she like countless others, continue to give their all to fight for a better tomorrow for our children. Janice sent the Idaho Tribune this comment that she initially sent to her compatriots on the KCRCC when she was elected in 2022:

“My prayer every morning when I wake up is that I can somehow be worthy of his [Jeremy’s] sacrifice, of the sacrifice of all of our veterans, of every Fallen soldier. I think about Jeremy a lot every meeting we have, every event we do. I believe that we honor him with our hard work and our fight for our country. I felt that especially so during the conference. Being in this fight with you guys in a weird way gives me peace. It helps me to offset all the hate and crazy going on in this country, it helps me remember why my son loved this country so much and was willing to sacrifice all for her.”
