Similarities in Unsolved Stabbings: 2021 Oregon Fatal Stabbing of Sleeping Couple & Moscow Idaho Quadruple Murder — Both Incidents Involved an Unknown Man With Large Knife in Early Morning Hours

Online Sleuths See Similarities in Unsolved Stabbings

While detectives continue piecing together details involving a quadruple murder in Moscow, Idaho on November 13, individuals online have brought up a similar stabbing case that took place in 2021 in Marion County, Oregon. Both cases involved an unknown attacker entering the victims household and stabbing them while they slept.

Authorities in Marion County, Oregon have hit a dead end in their investigation into the August 13, 2021 homicide case wherein an unknown masked assailant entered a sleeping couple’s home and attacked them at 3:00 AM.

The husband, Travis Richard Juetten, 26, was pronounced dead at his home, while his wife, Jamilyn Rebekah Juetten, survived after being stabbed 19 times.

Striking similarities in both incidents have sparked the curiosity of online sleuths, such as, both incidents taking place in rural areas, both incidents taking place in the early hours of the morning, and both incidents involving victims who were attacked while sleeping in their homes.

More similarities can be found while searching online discussion of the 2021 incident. One individual described the incident as a “crime of passion,” a statement echoed by the Mayor of Moscow, Idaho following the fatal quadruple stabbing of 4 university students.

Identical questions have been raised online regarding both incidents.

In both cases, authorities have asked the public for any and all details that might lead to the identification and apprehension of a suspect. So far, officials have yet to publicly identify any suspect in either case.

While authorities have revealed little detail surrounding the Moscow Idaho murder of 4 University students, even less is known about the murder in Oregon. Authorities in Oregon have not described the assailant, even though there was a survivor, nor has there been any release of information regarding anything the attacker may have said during the altercation.
