Scott Herndon DESTROYS President of Liberal Idaho Education Association —  IEA President McInelly Left Stammering, Dodging Question

It’s been less than 24 hours since the 2023 legislative session has begun, and Bonner County’s new Senator, Scott Herndon, wasted no time DESTROYING the Idaho Education Association with nothing more than a question.

With laser like precision, Herndon pre-emptively strikes at two of the biggest problems in the modern education system when he asks:

“I’m on your website here, and I’m looking at some of the teaching classes that you offer. […] There was a class and continuing education on your website for ‘Equitable and Just Schools’ and it talks about institutional racism and things of that nature, and then there’s […] ‘Teaching the Rainbow–Creating Safe Spaces for LGBTQ Students in Idaho’ and I just wonder if these are distractions from the core core intent of the Public School system, as to what we’re trying to produce: functional working adults with the intelligence that we’re hoping to achieve from the system.”

Layne McInelly, the president of the Idaho Education Association, is left stammering, grasping for words, eventually finding a way dodge the question, saying:

“Ours organization does provide a very wide range of professional development that is an opportunity for all educators to receive. Is it mandatory? Absolutely not. It is available to them if they see a need within their classroom, within their school and it fits what, what their district also is in, in need of… so you can see anything from classroom management to mental health services.”

The question was not “is it mandatory” or “is it needed,” the question was “Is this a distraction from our core mission?

Herndon followed up, this time asking about homosexuality, gender identity and institutional racism:

“When we see subjects like this being taught to teachers, does that mean that these that the actual continent of subjects is making its way back into our public school systems?”

Again, McInelly was unable to answer the question.

The Idaho Education Association is an extremely liberal, mostly Democrat controlled Teacher’s Union. It is so liberal and exclusive against Conservatives, many qualified teachers, especially in North Idaho, choose to “drop out of the system rather than put up with that nonsense” one source told the Tribune.

In addition to serving as the president of the IEA, McInelly is also an elementary school teacher, teaching 6th graders at Morley Nelson Elementary School.

To make matters worse, according to their wedding registry, it appears as though this elementary school teacher was “gay married,” to a man, in 2019.

According to VoterRecords.com, this man is a registered Republican, but back in November 2014, he was throwing his weight behind Jana Jones, the Democrat running for State Superintendent in Idaho.

His friends seem like really great people too.

The teaching programs McInelly was attempting to defend were designed to exacerbate racial tension in urban school districts, like this one in Washington D.C.:

We don’t need that in Boise. We also don’t need to be “Teaching the Rainbow” to any Idaho Students. Ever.

We need less “Republicans” like Layne McInelly and Debbie Critchfield, who continually cater to the overwhelmingly left-wing, pro-trans, multi-billion dollar education industry, and more Republicans who will stand up against the immoral leaders of defunct, Democrat controlled teachers unions like Senator Scott Herndon.
