Idaho Passes Bill Granting Employees Compensation for Vaccine-Related Accidents or Injuries

Employers might think twice about vaccine requirements

The Idaho state house passed a bill on Nov. 16 aiming to compensate employees who fall ill from receiving the vaccine under employer-enforced vaccine mandates. This bill would allow employees to seek compensation for injuries post-vaccination — likening such injuries to “work-place-injuries.”

“The provisions of this title shall be construed in the light most 22 favorable to an employee with respect to a claim for compensation for any accident or injury caused by a vaccination received in the course of employment 24 or as a condition of hiring or continued employment.”

Employers in Idaho who require vaccination might now be bearing the brunt of the cost if an employee is injured from vaccination. Considering the less-than-accurate reporting with regard to vaccine-related injuries, this move may force the pro-vaccine camp to reconsider requirements and think about the possibility that such vaccines could negatively impact their bottom line.
