BREAKING: Prosecutors Will Not Be Seeking The Death Penalty Against Alleged Father's Day Shooter Majorjon Kaylor As Memorial For 16 Year Old Victim Grows

Here is a comprehensive recap of everything we know so far.

(Kellogg, Idaho) — Just days after a father of three children “snapped,” killing an alleged sexual predator named Devin Smith, along with his mother, grandfather and 16 year old brother, Shoshone County Prosecutors have filed a motion taking the death penalty off the table.

According to Police Records, Devin Smith and his family had moved into the first floor of a duplex in Kellogg, Idaho, at the beginning of June 2023. Their apartment was situated underneath the dwelling of Majorjon & Kaylie Kaylor and their three children.

Several days later, on June 13th, while Kaylie and her two little girls Emery and Ellie were playing in their back yard, Devin Smith allegedly stood in front of the window of his downstairs bedroom, masturbating while watching the Kaylor’s Children.

According to a Facebook post written on June 15th by Kaylie Kaylor, her daughter noticed Smith standing in the window. Kaylie initially brushed it off saying “It’s their house, it’s fine.” That’s when her daughter said:

“‘no mom the boy, he's shaking his penis!’ This dude was staring out the window directly at my girls and I and beating his d#$% off. I saw his naked body jump up on his bunk bed and scoot back.”

In a follow up post, Kaylie said that her daughter “was white as a ghost and in shock. That is the last thing that my 11 year old daughter should have had to see.”

The Kaylor’s proceeded to call the cops and lodge a complaint against Smith for indecent exposure, and according to police records, “the police responded to and investigated the incident.”

In an exclusive interview with the Idaho Tribune, Kaylie told us that in the days following the police report, Smith had Smith had told her that “he was not going to be getting in trouble, that the cops believed him, and were on his side.”

Then, according to police records, on Father’s Day, June 18th, 2023, after coming home from work, while Majorjon Kaylor along with his wife and children were in their back yard watering plants, “an argument occured” between Smith’s mother, Kenna Guardipee, and the Kaylors “about the inappropriate behavior of her son, Devin Smith, and their lack of taking the situation seriously. She appeared concerned that there would be no consequences for Devin Smith's actions either by law enforcement or Devin Smith's family.”

It was at this point that Majorjon “Snapped", "Lost it", and "Did something about it."

According to the Affidavit for Probable Cause, Majorjon shot Devin Smith’s mother Kenna, Grandfather Kenneth, and 16 year old brother Aiken once in the temple killing them instantly. He then proceeded into Devin Smith’s room and shot him multiple times in the head.

Majorjon Kaylor then proceeded to hand his wife his phone, keys, and wallet, and told her “to tell their kids he protected them.”

At this point, it appears as though Majorjon Kaylor called the police on himself and confessed to the crime.

He was booked late Sunday evening and arraigned on Tuesday morning on four counts of murder and one count of burglary.

Since news of the shooting broke online, DOZENS of people have posted personal stories about Devin Smith’s “creepy,” “predatory” behaviour, including Josh McDonald, a reporter from the Shoshone News-Press:

McDonald wrote:

“Aiken Smith was nothing like his brother. He wasn't creepy or predatorial. He was kind and giving.

A lot of people might not know this, but cadets in the Kellogg High School Marine Corps JROTC program are required to complete a specific number of community service hours each year as part of their grade. Aiken Smith had more hours logged than anyone - in fact, he was well over the requirement for a passing grade and did it for the camaraderie of being around his fellow cadets, the joy he got from helping others, and the pride he took in his civic responsibility.

Aiken Smith's last minutes on this earth were the knowledge that his mother and grandfather had just been killed - and then a man broke into his home and executed him.

Aiken Smith did not deserve to die for someone else's sins.”

Dozens of people have reached out to the Idaho Tribune, telling us about Devin’s younger brother Aiken, and like the allegations against Devin, they are all unanimous.

One message we received was from a friend of Aikens who was devastated saying:

Most people are praising the dad, which I get he killed a pedo, but he also killed three other amazing people. Devin was not a good kid, but Aiken and his mom and grandpa were amazing people. To think I talked to him like a hour before he died is crazy he was only 16.”

According to information that the Idaho Tribune has received since the murders, Devin Smith was autistic, and receiving counseling in school. However, as we previously reported, many of the teachers at Kellogg High School are supportive of deviant, sexually perverse lifestyles themselves. It is unclear how the new, woke, “norms” on sexuality may have hampered the counseling Smith was receiving.

Students at Kellogg High School were allowed to parade around wearing Gay Pride flags as capes:

According to the National Library of Medicine, Autistic “individuals might develop quantitatively above-average or nonnormative sexual behaviors and interests.” The report also says that “individuals with ASD seem to have more hypersexual and paraphilic fantasies and behaviors than general-population studies suggest.”

Paraphilias are defined as “persistent and recurrent sexual interests, urges, fantasies, or behaviors of marked intensity involving objects, activities, or even situations that are atypical in nature.”

The Idaho Tribune has issued requested records about several disturbing incidents which allegedly occurred at the school. According to the U.S. Department of Education “the FERPA rights of eligible students lapse or expire upon the death of the student.”

As we said before, in our previous article, taking the law into your own hands is NOT ok. Vigilante “justice” almost always results in in-justice, and brings about a worse situation than before.

Had the police taken swift action, and if the school not tolerated Devin Smith’s alleged perverse behaviors, it is possible that this tradgedy could have been avoided altogether. A family would be alive, two young girls (more if you count the girls in school) wouldn’t have been sexually traumatized, Devin Smith would be getting treatment, and a father would be with his children instead of behind bars.

As more information becomes available we will be sure to bring it to light.
